Description of The North Face Fembot Jacket - Women's: |
 |
The North Face Women’s Fembot Jacket uses HyVent denim fabric and fully taped seams to encourage a casual style while hiding the fact that this jacket actually rocks in wet conditions. You want to stay warm on the slopes and avoid looking like a tent, so The North Face made this jacket with light insulation in the body and sleeves. Sweating profusely isn’t terribly attractive, so the Fembot Jacket has Underarm zips to help control your temperature. A built-in RECCO reflector might aid ski patrol in the event of an inbounds slide.
Bottom Line: Many Fembots aren’t what they seem.

| Fashionable & Functional Fembot 12-04-08 |
Kim Havell (54): |
| The Fembot is a great resort jacket. It is warm, comfortable and very stylish. With a generous cut at the hips, nice added insulation, and a great hood, this jacket offers a high level of comfort on the slopes. I wear a medium (5'8), and love the bittersweet brown color. It has some sassy features with metallic closures that adhere like magnets, great pockets and a nice high neck cut to block the wind and other elements. Most notable features include that generous hip cut- so the jacket doesn't bulk up when you sit, a built in Recco system- which provides that just-in-case added protection on the ski area, a goggle cloth, powder skirt, and great fashionable design inside and out. For resort skiing/heli-skiing, this jacket will keep you well protected, warm, and looking good. |

| A great combo of function and fashion 01-17-09 |

| I think the fembot is one of the best looking functional ski jackets out there. I am able to wear my puffy underneath for ultra-cold days. I'm sure I won't need to for late winter/early spring. With all the thoughtful features, it is a bit odd that the powder skirt is only adjustable with one or two snaps, not a pull cord. Also, the generous space around the hips is a bit unflattering. But I guess an hourglass shape is better than an asexual one, so I'll take it. Thank you North Face for your funky styles, and for offering women color choices other than black or cheesy pastels! |
