Description of The North Face Freedom Insulated Pant - Women's: |
 |
Super-tight ski pants aren't very practical, or comfortable. The North Face made the Women's Insulated Freedom Pants with a relaxed, contemporary fit, so you can actually bend your knees on the slopes without feeling like you're going to bust a seam. Thanks to low-bulk synthetic insulation, you can drop the long johns most days, or layer up for a super warm system when temps dip below 0F. The Insulated Freedom Pants' fully taped seams and waterproof breathable HyVent fabric encourage you to brave the harshest elements. Mesh panels in the leg gaiters work with the thigh vents to create full-leg air circulation as you charge down the slopes.
Bottom Line: The North Face Women's Insulated Freedom Pant, with liberty and powder stashes for all.

| Great Pants 01-12-09 |

| I have to agree with some of the other reviews that the pants do seem a little high-waisted, especially since most of us are now used to a more modern fit that sits lower on the waist. I do appreciate that the waist is adjustable though. I'm 5'9" and bought the Medium Long. I thought for a size 10/12 it was a little snug, but perhaps that was because of the high waist. The length was great - another 1/2 inch or so would have been perfect, but these pants are still better than anything else I've found for my height. I wore a fleece pant under these and I was too hot. I would suggest just a light layer. These pants leave plenty of room for movement, but are not baggy. |

| just depends if you like the fit 03-06-09 |

| I bought these and the boot-cut version to try both on and ended up keeping the boot-cut ones. These have more of a men's fit in my opinion. I say this because I have another pair lighter-weight North Face pants and they are actually a men's small and fit very similarly--higher waist and straighter shape all around. The boot-cut version, in my opinion, have a much more flattering shape for women and feel like a regular pair of pants instead of a bulky pair of snow pants. So, I guess it's personal preference. I'm 5'6" and 140 lbs, usually wear a size 6 or small and the small/reg fit perfectly. I ended up with a medium in the boot-cut b/c the small was out of stock (everywhere!) in the color i wanted and the waist tabs adjust to make them fit pretty well. |

| I love North Face Ski pants. They are high-quality, strong seams, keep you dry even if you sit in the snow a few times. I wear these skiing and snowboarding, and they are very comfortable. Love the extra cargo pocket to throw in a lock and neck warmer. I'm 5'8", 145 lbs. The size Large/Regular fits great. This is my 3rd pair of North Face ski pants and I will definitely buy more. Love their jackets too. |
