Description of The North Face Lotus Triclimate Jacket - Women's:
It's dumping on the slopes. Good thing The North Face Women's Lotus Triclimate Jacket's shell has fully taped seams and HyVent 2L fabric. Damn, now it's sunny. Good thing this ski jacket has a removable insulated liner and a removable hood. No, seriously, you're really sweating up a storm here. Go ahead and put the Underarm zips to work. Now you're off the slopes and lounging in a slightly chilly lodge—slip into the dry snap-out liner and stash your music player in the internal pocket for some relaxing post-slope tunes.
I really like this coat but I wish the inside jacket could zip to the outside one. Its like putting on 2 coats. If it was zipped together it would be easier to put on and off. Otherwise I love the jacket.
Overall it's a good jacket with nice amount of pocket space and hood. I wore it in Iceland and it was great for the wind and water. I agree that it is not the warmest jacket, and in 40 degree windy weather I had to wear an additional jacket and vest to keep warm. The medium is really a size large, so if you order a size as you normally would, it would have plenty of room to layer. If you want it to fit appropriately, go down one size. This is a good spring jacket that helps you battle the elements. For cold weather, however, opt for something different.
The jacket looks great and fits well. Like others, I wish it had the zip in system rather than the three snaps. It can slip while taking it on and off. This can be cumbersome. It is not the warmest jacket I have ever worn and I may need to purchase something to wear on the coldest days. For the most part it gets the job done.
