Description of The North Face Khumbu Fleece Jacket - Men's: |
 |
The North Face Men's Khumbu Fleece Jacket provides midweight insulation and multi-sport versatility for nearly any time of the year. This relaxed-fit fleece works alone on cool fall hikes or under a shell when winter storms blow through. The Khumbu’s zip-in compatibility lets you combine it with zip-in TNF shells for a toasty barrier against harsh conditions. This durable workhorse has a soft, pill-free feel, and its casual style works as well on campus as it does on the trail.
Bottom Line: Midweight versatility for year-round comfort.

| Awesome Fleece, go TKA 03-03-09 |

| I have this, the Denali, and Windwall 1 from TNF. This fleece at this low price is the best basic fleece out of the three. I don't ever grab the Denali, and here is why... Even at a fleece weight of 200, the TKA fleece blocks at least 60% of the wind I encounter. With the Denali, it blocks 0%. So even the the polartech on the Denali is comfy and good looking, it provides very little warmth, unless used as an insulating layer, or to wear indoors. So all the college students walking to class (looking stylish) are actually freezing their butts, but once in the classroom they will be very comfortable. The Khumbu is warm, cheapER, basic, and nice simply a nice jacket to grab as an everyday jacket. The windwall 1 is warmer than the Khumbu as it blocks 90% of the wind. I would recommend this fleece, as well as the Windwall 1. Same cannot be said about the Denali, which I feel I have wasted money on. |

| When the Denali Jacket is too much... 09-22-08 |

| Was looking for a light fleece jacket to use with the North Face Venture jacket, after finding that the NF Denali was just too heavy, and the NF Windwall too warm. After looking at a number of commercial offerings, I pick this Khumbu. It a bit leaner and lighter, so it matches my intended use pretty well- 45F-55F, under a Venture jacket, with wind and rain. By it itself, it is a rather nice jacket for outdoor activities at 50F. |

| Good Fleece 11-11-08 |

| This fleece is exactly what is it supposed to be - a great midlayer and a descent coat on those mild days. The small fits me great even over a baselayer, and I'm 5'6"(168 cm) 130 lbs(59 kg). The price of these fleece compared to the other TNF fleeces (aka the Denali) makes it even more worth it. |
