Description of The North Face Dogpatch Pant - Men's:
When you're not hiking, climbing, or otherwise getting out there, wear The North Face Men's Dogpatch Pant for casual comfort. The North Face garment-washed these cotton twill Dogpatch Pants for a soft hand and gave them straight-leg, khaki-inspired style.
Bottom Line: For the days you hang around town, The North Face made the Dogpatch Pants.
Good pants dressier than jeans but still casual. The fabric is much lighter than I guessed from the picture so they're not super tough. The rivets and the "North Face" sewn-on label prevent them from being appropriate for many work situations that would require a tad bit more formality (of the Dockers variety). So they're something between jeans and casual dress pants.
I wear a 34x32, so a 34 Reg fit perfect. These pants are light weight, soft, and extremely comfortable. These are hands down my favorite pants right now. They look great with boots or tennis shoes too - very versatile. They are very durable and have held up to a lot of abuse. I would take these on camping trips for sure, but they look just as great out on the town. I plan on buying a few more pairs in different colors.
I bought these pants because I have two pairs of the Dogpatch Shorts and just love them. One pair is size 30 which fit perfectly and the other is 32 which I cannot wear without a belt (obviously too big). I bought the pants in a 30 and couldn't even come close to buttoning them. Not sure what gives, but I figured the pants and the shorts would fit basically the same, just more material for the legs.
This purchase/return made me not want to order pants online anymore. It cost $27 to buy them and then $10 to return.
