Thank goodness you can roll up and secure the bottoms of these capris—a few inches can really cool your legs off. If you don't live in a land where it's against the law to be caught without hammers or at least crowbars in all of your pockets, the roll-up feature on the Hammerland Pants comes in handy on hot summer days.

Very Cute, But Odd Sizing 07-11-08

These capris are definitely functional, cute, & made from comfortable material (they get 5 stars for those categories). But, I feel that the sizing is very odd. I have several pairs of North Face pants (sizes 6-8) and they have always been a perfect fit. I ordered these in an 8 because I wanted a little extra room. They fit, but are very tight in the hips & butt. If you have a more "shapely" bottom half, I'd suggest looking elsewhere (especially if you don't want to be pulling out wedgies all day).

I was looking a pair of presentable, yet comfortable short pants to wear to work in the summer. I ride my bike to work so I needed a cropped length and material that keeps me cool and flexible. I wear them at least twice a week, with no complaints. It came with a fabric belt, but I don't wear it. The pockets are ample and belt loops strong.
