The North Face Ruckus Shoulder Bag is the mother of all messenger bags. This thing has a whopping 35-liter capacity, including a compartment for your laptop. A padded, adjustable shoulder strap and optional waist-belt disperse the load for comfortable carrying. The Ruckus sling bag's PVC tarpaulin lining keeps your cargo dry if it's drizzly out or you if you're toting a 12-pack and the unthinkable happens. The North Face gave this large messenger bag a zip front compartment with an organizer to keep smaller items readily available. The horizontal daisy chain lets you clip biners to your bag when you load it up with rope and head to the crags.

This is a great big bag, literally! I bought it for school because so far no other messenger bag has been able to comfortably handle the job. It is great and holds everything I need. Plus, the pvc lining would make it super easy to clean if I spilled something. Also, it holds my 15.4" laptop with no problem and would hold a 17" if needed. However, I keep my laptop on neoprene skin for extra cushion because even though there is a padded panel on the inside there is not much to protect it on the outside(but the only thing there is your leg...). Overall, this is a great bag and I would recommend it to a friend.

I love this thing. It's on the huge side, but compresses down to manageable even when it's nearly empty, and then it goes big when you need it. I've carried ski boots home in it without a problem. I also went down very hard and scraped up the flap, and the tears haven't spread at all.

i returned mine and bought the smaller version. bag was made well. heavy durable feeling. just huge. My 15.4 hp laptop slid around in the separate area too much causing rub marks.
