The limited edition version of The North Face Men's McMurdo Ltd Parka still has the same vintage look, 550-fill down insulation, and fur trim hood as the original, but features twill Hyvent material for extra style. In fact, when the residents of McMurdo, Antarctica, want to step up the style factor, we imagine they go out in this TNF original. The McMurdo Jacket's twill HyVent fabric doesn't sacrifice fashion for function though—it's still waterproof and breathable. With two internal water bottle pockets, two internal security pockets, and interior media pockets, you'll be prepared for anything, including the blizzard of century. If the weather is warm enough that you don't need the hood, zip it off and leave it behind.

I bought the McMurdo LTD as a Christmas gift for my husband and he loved it!!!! I had originally bought him the regular McMurdo but then I was told about how great the LTD was and decided to buy it on-line. I must say, there really is no comparison between the two coats. The LTD is much trendier and cool than the regular. He LOVES his new coat and gets lots of compliments. cust service and delivery were terrific too!!! thank you!!!!

Good Coat, Messed up Sizing   01-29-08

I'm 6'3" 205 lbs and normally wear a size XL in The North Face. I bought this coat in size L and it was so big that I had to return it for a M. Now the sleeves on the M are slightly too short, which is annoying. I can't believe they make this coat in a 3XL - I can't imagine who could wear that. If you have the time and luck to find a size that works for you, it is a good coat. A little more dressy (why can't TNF get their 485 series right so I can just buy one of those?) than normal northface stuff, and the brown color has a grey look to it that is cool. The coat is also heavy and bulky, which is kind of the point with something like this, so don't expect anything else. Overall, not bad, but could be better - much like a lot of recent TNF stuff in my opinion.
