Description of The North Face Freedom Pant - Men's:
The North Face made the Men's Freedom Pant with a relaxed fit, so you have plenty of room in the seat, thighs, and knees for bomber mogul runs or ventures into the park. Thanks to The North Face's waterproof breathable HyVent fabric, the Freedom Pants are at home in dry climates and in the soggy Northwest. Mesh sections in the gaiters pull air up through these shell pants and out thigh vents, so you get full-leg coolation on warm spring days. Layer ski underwear under the Freedom Pants during winter cold spells. Gripper elastic gaiters block snow, and bomber reinforcement on the lower cuffs fends off errant trees, rails, and board or ski edges. Articulated knees and a roomy fit give you all the freedom you need to huck, spin, and flip your way to glory.

These pants keep you warm and dry all day long (with a base layer, naturally), I haven't had an issue with them yet. They seem to be very durable (it's still early in the season, so we'll see) and vent well when you're overheating or go inside. I think they might be a little big for me (these are mediums and I wear 32x30 jeans), but with boots on dragging the bottom cuffs really isn't an issue; I'll take mobility over constriction any day. Also, I might recommend wearing a belt (there are beltloops), as they slide up my midsection in the front when I sit down. Overall, these are minor issues though, the technical performance is stellar.

I thought these pants were pretty good the only thing that i can say bad, is that if your short these will not fit i had to modify mine to get them to fit right. Great value.

These are a good buy. The price was very reasonable and they are very comfortable. Much better than my old pants. They keep me very warm on windy days. Also, the availability of "long" sizes is a plus. I am 6-5, 195 lbs and the Large/Long fit me great.
