Description of The North Face Unity Suit - Men's:
Get into the waterproof breathable one-piece The North Face Men's Unity Suit and go slay the mountain. The Unity Suit is your body armor against powder and foul weather when you ride. The North Face sealed all the seams on this suit, so not a drop of moisture gets in as you snorkel down the slopes. When the wind howls on the summit, pull up the adjustable hood to stay warm. As you drop in elevation and the weather improves, open the pitzips and thigh vents to unload hot air. Multiple pockets hold everything from a wipe for your goggles to your cell phone. This suit includes two Recco reflectors that might help ski patrol find you in the event of an avalanche.

Bottom Line: Wear The North Face Unity Suit on your quest for waist-deep powder.

Almost Good Enough!   11-09-07

I bought it, tried it on, thought about it for a couple of weeks and sent it back with the following concerns: 1. I am 5'8" and 150lbs. The fit was still a bit large for me, especially in the inseam. 2. There are no intenal suspenders. It would be nice to have these if you are taking a mid-day break at the resort lodge and want to peel off the top portion without shedding the entire suit. Not everyday is heli-skiing day! 3. The internal liner is cheap "thick" nylon which appears to inhibit the breathability of the suit. Would like to see a mesh liner. 4.The hood is not helmet compatible. It's nice to be able to pull the hood up to get some protection from the "heli-blast". The suit is a good idea but these issues were enough to stay with a two piece outfit.

suit up   11-21-07

I used this suit almost every day last year. when I was hiking mildly like at rocky point I would just tie the arms around my waist and stay cool. it deff wasnt made for long backcountry treks but the vents were more than enough for cooling down at the resort. it has a nice baggy fit and I loved riding with minial layers on underneath. I would sometimes just ride with boxers and a tee shirt under and it felt so free.

Out of Proportion   11-30-07

I went with the large and hoped it would not be too long. When it arrived, I loved the way it looked--construction is good. However, not only were the pants too long, but the crotch was way too low. It might fit someone who is 6' 5", but I am 5' 11".
