By far the best shell that I have ever owned. No matter what the weather is, rainy, windy, snowy, and all those combined this jacket takes it with no problem. The PrimaLoft insulation in my opinion is just as good as down, and you don't have to worry about getting it wet. Everything works great, all pull cords work with gloves on too, and the waterproof zippers have worked flawlessly. I am just over 6'1" and got the XL, the sleeves were too short on the large. Incredibly comfortable too, it will make your friends jealous.

The Plasma M is so far a great jacket. My first The North Face jacket and so far I'm impressed. It's lightweight and not bulky, meaning great flexibility. The large size was almost a little short in the sleeves (i'm almost 6-1), but the XL was a bit big in the waist. I've used this jacket in some cold Spokane weather around town (5-20F) and it keeps me comfortable. Add a standard fleece or vest and I'm nicely warm, but not sweaty or muggy, and it's exceptionally waterproof from what i've exposed it to so far. With The Norht Face warranty, reputation and style, this jacket was worth every penny.

This is a phenomenal jacket! I just bought (asphalt grey/black) it and use it on a daily basis...perfect for those chilly, rainy nights. If you're not climbing mountains and skiing every weekend like me, this jacket is also for you because it does what north face says it will...keep you warm and dry. it's a flat out solid jacket...the collar is a little high, but not enough to make a huge difference. i only say this because I am a sports reporter on tv and the appearance of the jacket was a big factor in my decision to buy it! Thanks North Face and thanks for such a great jacket and great service!
