Derived from Tecnica’s plug shell, but with a slightly wider last and more forgiving flex, the Diablo Pro 100 is a race boot on vacation from the World Cup circuit. Tecnica is known for fitting a wide range of skiers without needing serious modifications, and despite a narrow 98-millimeter last the Diablo Pro 100’s moderate heel and medium instep height accommodates some pretty funky feet without spending hours under the grinder. The stiff—but by no means brutal—100 flex gives heavier skiers a break from shin bang and provides plenty of power for smaller experts, and can be adjusted using removable rivets on the cuff. Tecnica’s Pro Lite liner is thin and firm, for minimal pack-out and the precision response that good skiers prefer over cushy comfort.
