Tecnica Agent AT Alpine Touring Boot
Since its inception in 1960, Tecnica has followed the mantra 'Designed to Perform'. From developing the first ever bi-injected plastic ski boot in 1973, to the release of the iconic Moonboot, this Italian company has led the charge in style and technical innovation. Today, Tecnica’s factory and headquarters remain in Giaverra del Montello, Italy, where a dedicated staff of former professional skiers, World Cup coaches, and award-winning designers work in concert to produce some of the highest quality footwear available. Whether it's a casual après-ski slip-on or the take-no-prisoners Agent 130 freeride ski boot, if Tecnica made it, you can rest assured it has no equal.

Description of Tecnica Agent AT Alpine Touring Boot:
The master bootmaker for huge alpine huckanauts and World Cup champions has officially ducked the ropes—introducing the Tecnica Agent AT Alpine Touring Boot. From a distance, the Agent AT looks remarkably similar to its alpine brethren, but get closer and you'll spot the shiny ski / walk lever running up the back, the wire bails on the silver three-buckle shell, and the lugged, rockered Vibram hiking sole. Try it on, and you'll notice it blends the close fit and responsive, triple-density overlapping shell of Tecnica's Agent alpine boots with the light weight, trim shape and upright stance of an AT boot. An adjustable rear spoiler and forefoot buckle tour position, along with the rear walk lever help the transition between free-flexing, touring comfort and locked down, shred-happy stiffness. It's early yet, but this boot could be the ultimate weapon for big backcountry assaults.

Bottom Line: Tecnica goes from bashing race gates to storming boundary gates with the Agent AT Boot.

Great versatile boot for touring and having fun!   01-19-09
JJ (1): rank
OK, there are several reviews on this boot, and all of them claim that this boot is too soft for serious skiing. This is completely untrue. All these so called reviews are based on initial shop testing. Seriously once the boot is in the snow and cold these things are plenty stiff!!! Awesome comfort and performance. The best "walk" mode ever. great roomy toebox, no cold toes, no loss of circulation. Very important for touring is comfort there. Alpine touring is 90% touring and 10% downhill, so what then is the point of complaining of a roomy toebox. That is a plus. the features are really nice, the sole, cant, wraparound construction. awesome. Easy on, easy off, easy walk. This should be a fave of pro-patrolers who are in boots 24/7 Peace, have fun

Rebadged Lowa X-Alp   11-18-08

Just to add to the above. I improperly stated the name. It is the X-Alp not the Alp-X. Old Age!!

Rebadged Lowa Alp-X   11-14-08
DAVE C (6): rank
For those that are wondering out there...The Agent AT boot is absolutely no doubt a re-badged Lowa Apl-X marketed in Europe and a solid competitor in that venue along with other Lowa models. I purchased last years out of the box to find a Lowa Apl-X tag and tech sheet attached. Can't argue with that. This boot is thereby not a new entry into AT market by any means. See threads under Lowa Alp-X if you can find one in English.
