Description of Timbuk2 Classic Messenger Bag: |
 |
Some say the Timbuk2 Classic Messenger is the bag that started it all. This rig, originally built as a rugged necessity for urban bicycle warriors, quickly became the hippest under-the-radar carry-all for everyone from metro commuters to tree-hugging granola munchers. Thanks to the waterproof vinyl inner lining, the Classic Messenger doubles as a killer beer cooler as well. Just throw in some ice and some malty ones and you're set for a mellow day of Frisbee golf in the park—just make sure your laptop's not inside. While it doesn't have a dedicated computer sleeve, the Classic'll still fit your laptop.
Bottom Line: It's a bag, it's a cooler, it's an international symbol of protest against unnecessary fuel consumption. Commuters unite!

| I think these bags could survive warfare! I've had mine for more years than I can remember, though I think it's somewhere around 5 or 6, if that gives you an idea for the durability and it really doesn't show ANY signs of falling apart. The first one I bought was the small, which I use almost every day, and then I got a larger one a couple years ago to transport my laptop and use for various larger needs. You could drop this thing in a puddle close to its height and as long as water didn't get in through the top everything would stay dry. Conversely, if you spilled your whole Nalgene bottle's worth of water inside, you could tip back your bag and drink it right out (not that you'd want to, but it makes it a lot easier to clean when you can dump things out instead of them getting soaked into the fabric). If I could give this more than 5 stars I would! |

| Every Scout Leader MUST have this bag. 11-20-06 |

| As a Boy Scout Leader, I have to tote around tons of different things, ranging from award patches, to medical forms to sign up packages and leftover hoodies. You name it, I end up with it at one time or another. This bag has room for EVERYTHING. But, not only that, I'm constantly having to set the bag down on wet ground and nothing gets wet. Its survived rain, snow and soda showers. If the Scouts can dish it out, this bag seems to take it in stride. I LOVE IT !!! |

| My large green bag 09-28-06 |

| I love my Timbuk2 large messenger bag. I use it to bike/train commute to work. It holds my laptop, a load of running clothes and shoes, and a book or two. I have to be a little careful to pack soft stuff nearest my back, so it's comfortable when I'm on my bike. I'm very happy with the bag. |
