Wear the SmartWool Women's Lightweight Zip-T whether you're headed out for a morning jog, a backcountry tour, or Sunday morning breakfast. SmartWool made this do-anything top with their soft merino wool and flattering princess seams. SmartWool's porous natural fibers move moisture while it is still in vapor form before it has a chance to condense on your skin; you stay drier and more comfortable throughout your entire workout. By comparison, synthetics transport moisture after it condenses, which means you must visibly sweat before any moisture management begins. SmartWool fiber is also highly adaptable to a broad range of conditions; it keeps you warm in winter and cool in spring. The naturally anti-microbial Lightweight Zip-T features a ½-length Zip-T collar for increased ventilation when you up the pace on the skin track or single track. Flatlock-seam construction reduces chafing, and an active fit allows for bulk-free layering without inhibiting your freedom of movement.
I am normally a size small (5'2" 118 lbs.), but ordered a medium in this and glad I did because if it were smaller it might be uncomfortable to move in. This is meant to be tighter though, since it stands in as a long underwear/base-layer, however I did not want this to be skin tight. The sleeves are tighter, especially at the wrists so you cannot push the sleeves up AT ALL. Be aware of that. It will keep snow and stuff out though since it is so tight there. I plan on wearing this on chilly morning bike rides & runs. It would also be suitable on its own as a zip tee if you removed your outer layers. It does not necessarily look like long underwear. Overall, a good buy when it is on sale.
This is a very comfortable top. It is lightweight and easy to wear on it's own or as a layer. The stetch makes movement easy and not bulky. It is a slim cut, especially in the chest area. For women with a larger chest I recommend ordering the next size. Very warm for its weight!
Warm, comfy and smart-looking. This particular shirt is very fine and lightweight. It fits true to size, almost a bit small. If you are a borderline size, go for the bigger one.
