Swix made these high-end ski poles with a dual-tapered shaft to cut weight, and an airfoil in the middle of the pole to reduce wind resistance when you're skiing like your hair is on fire. With its light swing weight and positive grip, the Swix Mach CT 1 Alpine Ski Poles are made for aggressive high-speed skiing. Swix includes a pair of powder baskets and a pair of standard size baskets with the Mach CT1 Ski Poles.

While these poles are pretty sweet, and light, the problem i had with them was getting used to the 'tab system.' that little yellow tab goes over the gap between your thumb and index finger, and it's a little difficult to get them on and off if you want to grip your poles from the top (especially when skating). On the other hand, the tab kinda forces the pole backwards, so rather then having the pole perpendicular to the ground while holding it normally, it slants slightly at a backward angle. while this might be nice for racing, i recommend something without the tabs for someone who is freeriding (especially in moguls).

These are the sickest poles I have ever experienced! The difference in weight from my old Aluminum poles to these composite poles... PRICELESS! I will never go back to those heavy aluminum poles again.
