This shirt really surprised me. I'm a recent icebreaker addict and had to get this via the BC-SC site. It's every bit as soft and fine in construction as the ice. Fit is great for me (6'205/not overly athletic in build), I got XL and that's a good fit for me with sugoi's line. (touch big but no issue) Zipper gives it great versatility. I work it non-stop a week in Oakland lately (warm), and 2 nights ago it was my skiing base layer under a ICE 320 zip. Been daily office use and just change into shorts and enjoy same shirt in the gym. The sugoi wallaroo ss T shirts seem on par too (I don't recommend trekmates at all, smartwools 'ok', sugoi and ice are 10+). I've seen comments on how to dry the merino's...for me a simple micro towel (standard in my travel kit) rolled with it gently a few times (no wring needed) and then on a hangar over a hotel heat vent or good draft and an hour tops it's good to go if not 30 min's.
