Description of Six Six One Pro Pressure Suit: |
If you fight the Law, one day the Law will win. When gravity gets the best of you, protect your upper body with the Six Six One Men's Pro Pressure Suit. In the event of a nasty spill, this body armor protects you with anatomically shaped injection-molded plastic shoulder, elbow, and forearm shields. Articulated and removable back armor panels protect your spine without hindering your movement. Cutout underarm areas and vented mesh paneling in this Six Six One pressure suit increase breathability for midsummer riding. Wide hook-and-loop belt closures give you a precise fit to keep your pads securely in place.
Bottom Line: Protect your upper body while you shred on your gravity-fueled mountain bike.

| I agree 100% with the above post about elbow pads twisting out of the way. This happens to me and a friend of mine who borrowed the suit. I fear the day that I fall on my elbows. Also, I took a handlebar to the chest and cracked the plastic since it has lots of fragile little connections on that piece. I'll take that over a broken rib but don't expect this thing to last forever. |

| I bought a size medium suit. I'm 6' tall and 175 lbs. It fits great. Everything stays were it should and it doesn't feel restrictive while riding. I've already fallen a couple of times in it and it has been worth what I paid. Those falls would have resulted in some nasty trail rash had I not been wearing the suit. Well worth it. |

| When I first tried this thing on, I hated it. It felt bulky and scratchy. I was going to immediately return it, but decided to try it out first. Since it was after work, I ended up wearing it over an undershirt.
It felt great... especially considering it was around 90 degrees out. I like having the solid-sleeved arms, as it keeps the pads from sliding around (as I found out after biting it a couple times). The spine protector seems a bit bulky, but I like the idea of landing on that... as opposed to slamming into a jagged rock without anything. The chest protector doesn't conform to my chest very well, but once I start riding I don't even think about it.
Considering the price I paid for it on ChainLove, it was definitely cheap protection. |
