Description of Special Blend Spice Puffy Jacket - Women's: |
 |
When the mountain's covered in sugar, zip up the Special Blend Women's Spice Puffy Snowboard Jacket for waterproof protection and lotsa warmth. High-loft synthetic insulation fights off the chairlift chills. While you cruise through the fluff, the Spice's pow skirt stops flakes from flying into your coat, and taped critical seams stop melted snow from leaking through your shell. Underarm vents give you temperature control. Special Blend stocked this puffy with pockets, inside and out.
Bottom Line: Sugar and ice and everything nice, that's what the Spice Jacket was made for.

| For the love of god, size up! 03-11-09 |

| I am 5'0" 110lbs, and always wear an XS. I usually like my jackets fitted (I don't snowboard) so was reluctant to size up but based on the other reviews, I got an S - phew. Even so, I had to take out the elastic around the waist (snipped the inside and took out the three seams, tedious but worth it) and it feels so much better. Who needs it tight anyway when you have the snow skirt in there? I use this coat to wear to work in Boston when the wool coat won't cut it in sub-freezing temps. I don't know why they even bother calling this synthric down, it's not nearly as warm as down, and I wouldn't wear this below OF, but it's okay when it's about 20F. The black is my no means black, it's charcoal, but I still like. The length is right b/c I am short, but the sleeves are outrageously long and a bit of a nuisance b/c the jacket material and velcro on the cuffs are stiff. I hate the double zipper more than anything b/c it makes it too hard to zip up and the inner flap is stiff and also gets in the way (do people ever really make use of the double zip?) Anyway the coat still does the job, I like the hood and waterproofness, I think it's breathable but then again I'm just walking in the city, and I would recommend this only if you like the cropped bomber jacket look and/or have long amazon arms. |

| cute, but not a great comfy fit 03-01-09 |

| The jacket is really cute. I got the artisan blue which is a beautiful blue shade. However it fits like a cropped coat unless you go up a bigger size (which I would imagine, the sleeves would be way too long and uncomfortable bc the jacket is a bit stiff). It felt so unpractical for snowboarding since it would keep cinching up from my hips to my waist and snow would still get in my pants. I like the jacket as a good winter coat, but not for sport. |

| I bought the green color and it looks minty in the picture but when I got it, it about knocked my freakin' socks off. It's really bright lime green. The color looks NOTHING like the picture. Yes, the waist band is tight and the arms are really long. Order one size up. I normally wear a M and got the L. I think I'm going to be returning this because the color is horrifyingly disgusting. I wouldn't order this jacket unless you are tall and thin. It seems really warm, but there are just too many things that feel weird about it. However, I would recommend it if you like nuclear eye-blinding green, though. |
