The women’s Jet Fur Jacket showcases Spyder’s ability to blend earth awareness and supreme luxury into a single, tantalizing but utterly functional ski shell. Using renewable bamboo fibers in the exterior fabric gives the Jet Fur not only naturally antimicrobial properties, but a soft, silken hand unlike traditional nylon fabrics. Superb tailoring, clean overlapping lines, and a removable, long-pile fox fur collar are as comfortable on the streets of Aspen as they are screaming down the slopes of Ajax. Inside, low-bulk Thinsulate insulation wards off the chill, and a 10K XT.L membrane ensures zero snow penetration.
This is my first spyder coat and I am impressed. I ordered a smaller size first, by going off of the sizing chart. I ended up deciding that I wanted a bit more room for movement and went for the next size up. I am always cold on the mountain and this coat has enough insulation that I could ditch some of my under layers. Even though it is insulated, it maintains it tailored apparence. It also has super thick fur around the neck which is very warm and snugly. The collar is also high enough that if you button it up all of the way you can protect your lower face during ice pellet days. My friends already nicknamed it my foxy coat...need I say more?
