Spyder made the Poacher Jacket with Gore-Tex waterproof breathable fabric and fully taped seams, so you get bomber weather protection throughout winter storms. Light insulation and a removable hood provide warmth as you wait for the first chair, and pitzips help cool you off after a few warm-up runs. The Spyder Poacher Jacket's grippy powder skirt and internal Lycra sleeve cuffs block snow, and internal pockets hold your goggles and music player.

This is my first Spyder product: Lots of pockets, lots of options, Gore-Tex and a great looking piece, what more can you ask for? The venting properties of the Gore-tex membrane combined with the pit zip and back vents allowed for some very comfortable boarding in warm temps this past weekend. It’s nice to be able to lie down in the snow at the side of a run and take in the beautiful atmosphere of mountains all around, and NOT have to worry about soaking through your jacket. Everything on this jacket from the zippers to buttons is top quality, sometimes you do get what you pay for!

Just wear this coat on the first powder day of the season and you will be happy you made this choice. Technical is the typical description for clothing these days, but I describe this gear as superior. After countless sessions of deliberation the Spyder R&D and design teams have pondered and tested every aspect of this technical outerwear to encompass every bit of possible technology yet keep it lightweight and comfortable.

This jacket looks GREAT, but I haven't used in on the slopes yet. Lots of pockets, cool microfiber goggle drying cloth in one of the pockets. I look forward to diving into blizzard conditions with this jacket next season....
