While these are definitely "cute" shorts, they are super-slim fitting ---making pedaling a wedgie-fest. There is no internal padding, they are simply groovy looking, not super techie. They seem more like standard hanging-out wear, not for riding...but I like 'em anyway. If you want to ride in these, go a size up in order to make room for movement and if you want to wear a chamois layer underneathe.
