Description of Smith Stance Sunglasses - Polarized:
With their wrap-around design, the Smith Stance Polarized Sunglasses provide excellent coverage and protection from wind, glare, and dust. Tapered Lens Technology creates distortion-free vision, providing excellent optical quality in a lightweight, impact resistant lens. Polarized lenses eliminate glare from horizontal surfaces like roads, water, and cars. The frames' rugged nylon material offers flexibility and bomber durability. Hydrophilic Megol rubber nosepads and temple ends provide reliable grip even during exercise.
Bottom Line: As cool as the Crane Stance, but without the balance problems.
I just got these in today off of SAC and love them. They are very lightweight and feel very comfortable. The tint of the lenses is exactly what I was looking for and up to par with my Maui Jim's for much less.
Best sunglasses I have ever owned! I have been through 3 pairs already and just ordered 2 more on S&C. Frames hold up real good and are very comfortable if you have a larger head (fitted cap size 7 1/2 to 7 5/8). I have never had a pair break or a lens pop out. The only complaint I have is that the polarized version does not have the clarity that a pair of Costa's have when looking into water (but then again not a true pair of fishing sunglasses). Only pair of sunglassed I'll have til I can't find them anymore!
I really like my stance glasses. I have a big head, they fit well, do not slip, and are do not distort my vision. They are smaller than the look when listed on SAC, so be aware. I don't love the pointy part below the eyes, but on my face it looks fine. Two things that are big cons for me 1) there is a gap on the lower part of this glass, especially out to the side. If you are on water, light will reflect under the glasses and through the gap. 2) My pair has one "loose" lens. When cycling or running, it wiggles. Will try to get Smith or SAC to replace them.
