Chad mocked the Smith SEQUEL II Sunglasses for their seemingly redundant name, but when the SEQUEL II busted out three sets of interchangeable lenses Chad felt not dissimilar to a long-eared beast of burden. Chad realized that Smith’s innovative SEQUEL II Sunglasses are a fusion of street fashion and sport performance, and it was at that moment that the ex-football champion and Ridgeway High clean and jerk record holder felt the all-too-sardonic pangs of envy. The side-sliding design offers sleek fashion appeal that grew on Chad by the second, while the interchangeable lens system that lets you change the lens with changing light conditions just blew the shit out of Chad’s mind. Smith’s super durable TR90 Grilamid frame and scratch-resistant TLT Carbonic lenses stand up to your hardcore adventures and jock-hate encounters. *See sizing chart for lens information.
Bottom Line: Slide to the side when you wear the Smith Interchangeable SEQUEL II Sunglasses.
I've owned lots of different Smith sunglasses - including the original Slider, Toaster, Mainline, Buzzsaw, Hudson, Method, Threshold...and these are by far the best all-around ones I've owned. Very lightweight - you can barely tell you're wearing them, great fit (medium size face here), easy to change out the lenses. I've used them mountain biking, backpacking, and as around-town everyday sunglasses. No, they're not as big as the old Mainlines or the Thresholds, but I haven't had any problems with coverage. My only little nit is that they do tend to slip a little when your face and head start to sweat. Other than that, I love them.
These glasses seemed amazingly well built. Switching the lenses was very easy thanks to smith's new system. However, they were tiny! I wouldn't say I have that big of a head (although my friends might disagree) but these couldn't even fit on my face. Perfect if you are tiny, or a little kid. Otherwise, normal shaped head people should look elsewhere.
These glasses definitely run on the small side but I still use them almost daily for biking as the lenses are super easy to change out and you hardly notice them on your face.
