Rock the Smith DISTRICT II Sunglasses’ dark lens as you bomb the singletrack after work, and switch to the clear lens when the sun falls and its time head into town for some evening diversions. The DISTRICT II’s side-releasing, interchangeable lenses grant superior eye protection and easy lens changes—day or night. Sleek, minimalist design goes almost unnoticed on the trail, and the subtle style flies under the radar around town. The DISTRICT II features three sets of interchangeable lenses. The DISTRICT II fits a medium face best.
Bottom Line: The best interchangeable lens series just got better.

Great Pair of Shades for Active Lifestyle 11-06-08
I picked up this pair of Smiths on SteepandCheap for a great price and have been happy with them. The interchangeable lenses are great - I use the clear lens at dusk while riding the trails. The only thing I would have liked to have seen is a darker lense. The darkest lense provided has a yellow tent and is in my opinion more of a medium-shaded lense.
The optics on these glasses are really great -- altho I'd been wearing a pair of 8yo scratched up Ray Bans, and the difference was definitely noticeable!! These are not the most stylish or durable glasses, but for the price, seem well worth it. The only issue I have is how they fit my face -- the glasses ride up on my cheeks when I smile, so if you have the same problem with glasses don't buy these -- but both my sons tried them on and they looked great and no ride-up problem. I'll wear these until I find a more suitable pair for me, and my kids can flip for them :)
I have had the districts for 5 years now. Had to replace a stolen pair. I had the gunmetal, but the ones on sale were black so I got those. They fit differently. i thought it was my imagination, but my gf and a couple buddies even commented they looked different. Maybe a different plastic or mold? Who knows. But the optical clarity is awesome, frames are flexible enough to wear comfortably with a hat, helmet (motorcycle or climbing), whatever. I have all kinds of lenses for it from clear for woodworking to the cool blue reflective lenses. Wish I had remembered to bring the yellow ones for Rainier... The frames may not look as stylish as the new changeables, but the minimilast frame design gets the job done.
