Description of Smith Phenom Turbo Fan Series Goggles - Mirrored Lens:
If you're looking for goggles with a crazy anti-fogging capability and a lens that both increases your depth perception and has that sweet mirrored look, grab Smith's Phenom Turbo Fan Series Goggles with a Mirrored Lens. When you start to heat up on the slopes or on backcountry hikes, turn the Phenom Turbo Fan Goggles' built-in, micro-electric fan to high. This silent fan eliminates fog, and the battery runs for up to 50 hours. If you're just cruising the slopes, turn the fan to its low-power setting. Pick one of the three lenses—the sensor mirror lens helps on flat light days, the ignitor reduces your eye fatigue in all conditions, and the platinum combats glare on sunny and partly cloudy days.

Bottom Line: Smith's Phenom Turbo Fan Goggles with a Mirrored Lens—is that a fan in your goggles or are you just magically fog-free?

They Suck   12-15-07
Anonymous: rank
I orginally bought the first model of the turbo fan series way back in 2001 and the mechanism pulled air into the goggle which acted just like a car defroster. It worked well aside from a little dry eyes. The new model pulls air in from the bottom out and has no holes on the lens to create air flow while riding. these goggles suck you would be better off with the non-turbo fan

Smith is GREAT   03-20-08

This is a review of smith in general, and the turbo fan goggles in particular. First - the goggles. The turbo works. You can wipe with de-fog cloth all you want, but the turbo works. If you wear glasses (look for the turbo OTG models), it is essential. Now, for the company. I had an older model turbo where the foam broke down letting snow and water in. Smith REPLACED them - no question. I had to send in my old goggles, and they sent me an email saying they'll replace them. In a week, I got a brand new pair of TURBO Knowledge OTG. That's customer service! If they think they have a customer for life, they're RIGHT!

I use these things on heli-trips and they are the indispensable. Everyone else is fooling with anti-fog wipes and cat-crap. These goggles rule.
