FMJ not perfect but excellent nonetheless. 08-21-09
First thing I noticed - the noise from the wire bouncing around I find most in-ear headphones have is hardly noticeable, but the trade-off is incomplete noise isolation. In a noisy environment, I still hear most of what's around me, even with the Comply Foam tips, which are very comfortable even for extended listening (though the memory foam tips on JVC's Marshmallows are probably the best I've tried). In summary: sounds great, noise isolation meh, wire noise minimal, very comfy, warranty amazing.
My ladyfriend got these for me as a gift after I tried hers on a long flight. These are the most comfortable earbuds I've personally tried. Not sure if they're the older style cause mine don't have the sweet braided cables, just rubber. No matter, they work great, come with a handy little case and also have a volume control on the cable, which would be nice for riding etc.
I got mine through brociety, one of Backcountry's super discount sites.
First, it is the first earbud I can hear under my motorcycle helmet without a deafening volume.
Fits fine, sound is good although I have heard better.
And about the ziploc bag: do I really want some more shrink-loc plastic filling up the local garbage dump? At least I didn't have to go find my knife to open my earbuds.
