Description of Salomon 900 Hooded Softshell Jacket - Men's: |
If you want a jacket that has the comfort of your favorite hoody, but won't get all soggy when you ski in it, check out the Salomon Men's 900 Hoody. A fleece lining adds warmth when you layer the 900 under a shell, and breathable, water-resistant softshell fabric lets you wear the 900 Hoody on it's own for warmer days.
Bottom Line: Like a hoody, but won't turn into a soggy mess on the slopes.

| I found this hoody a great fit this fall. nice wind blocking when I'm on my bike and its 38 degrees out. good wind blocking & water resistance. comfortable too. |

| Great jacket - has kept me warm and dry everywhere I've been on the mountain. It's not bulky at all but still keeps you warm. Simple, comfortable, and functional. |

| good material, crappy hood. 07-27-09 |
Benjamin Vincent (25): |
| The windproof/water resistant/breathablity of the jacket is fine -- on par with similar pieces of other brands in this price range. It doesn't have adjustable cuffs, not even elastic to keep them closed. My big gripe though is the hood - its sized to be able to fit a helmet (I think?), but no way to adjust it down if you're not wearing a helmet. With just my noggin in it, the hood comes down over my eyes (and I have a big forhead), with no way to remedy this. Pulling the drawstrings doesnt help, it just cinches down to the point where just my nose sticks out. Would have been a great piece if there had been that second drawstring on the top/back of the hood that many pieces have to adjust for this. After all, whats the point of getting a hooded softshell if you cant use the hood? |
