Description of Salomon Terra Zip-Off Convertible Pant - Men's:
When it gets hot on your hike, zip off the Salomon Men's Terra Zip-Off Pants' lower legs and get instant leg-cooling relief. The ClimaUV 50 sun-protection fabric blocks harmful rays at high altitudes and on summer treks. The lightweight Terra Zip-Off Pants are easy to pack, and the wicking, quick-drying fabric means less of the dreaded crotch-sweat. Stash a few bills in the concealed pocket when you're traveling.
I take these on just about every hike I go on in the fall/spring/summer. They are perfect to hike up to a lake because you can take the legs off and they dry just as fast as a swimsuit. Hiked up to the reservoir below Lonepeak in UT and swam and they dried before I got back to the car. Also took them down to Escalante. It was nice because I could slide around on the rocks and not get scraped up but when we went through streams they became shorts.
Great outdoorsy pants. Love the pockets - the right back is a zip up for safety while the left back is velcro for convenience. Nice.
Two small cosmetic issues: 1) They run about 1.5" big at the waist. I'm a tried and true 32" but their 32" falls off my butt unless I wear a belt. 2) Foundation might look like gray/green here, but it is actually khaki.
Great outdoorsy pants. Two things to watch for:
- Pants run big in the waist. The 32" fits more like a 34", though the inseam is on point.
- "Foundation" is more of a khaki than a gray.
I might not keep these due to the unexpected bagginess, but otherwise, a fine product.
