Description of Salomon Falcon Race Ski Boot - Men's:
The new Salomon Falcon Race Ski Boot spearheads the Falcon line with super stiff 120 flex and Salomon's performance last that ensures that every ounce of pressure transfers to the ski. The Spaceframe shell profile uses variable shell thicknesses for a lightweight and sensitive feel while remaining stiff and strong for optimal power transition. The Falcon Race Ski Boot rips through those tight race gates with strength and power using its second skin last wrapping around your foot for a precise fit.
Bottom Line: Make the race course your prey with the Salomon Falcon Race Ski Boot.
Excellent boots with a lot of adjustments. At first I was nervous in buying a race boot. Out of the box they were a good fit to my thin size 10 foot with some tightness on calf muscles(ok getting in/out). For break-in I wore them in the house for about 3hrs. On the mountain I had some discomfort. With my socks off the discomfort went away and boots came to life. Thus far I’ve skied without socks(no discomfort) and easily skied all day(feet stayed warm). The boots make my Atomics feel light (Vs. the Lange boots)…wow incredible!, and have more forward lean. In summary-the boot is stiff, VERY RESPONSIVE, excellent performer(avg. skier), and allot of adjustment resulting in no leg/knee pain.
Great boot for narrower feet. I wear an 11.5 US street shoe, the 28.5 is a great race fit, the 29 shell had more wiggle room but less precision. First couple days hurt, but the liners molded to make these the best fitting boots I've ever worn. They're a little tight on my biggish calves, but otherwise great for my narrow heel, average arch/instep and skinny toe area. They can be tough to get on/off without cranking the tongue far off to one side - especially as the plastic gets much stiffer in the cold. Liners are very high quality - holding up well so far - but you will need a real insole (Sole, superfeet, etc.). They're stiff, but not painful - very similar overall to the Salomon Falcon 10 in both stiffness and fit.

WOW! The Falcon rocks on women racers too! 10-23-08
Love these boots. I have a narrow heal, wide toe box, high arches and instep, with a very long shin bone so these were my choice over all the too short, too sft, too sloppy womens boots out there. I had the toe box punched out at the widest spot, ground down/trimmed the top of the instep flap where it dug in, put my custom footbeds in and they were a great choice. Very light and comfortable, warm with thin race socks, very stiff when you lean into them on a cold mountain, no foot movement in the boot at all, and fast and direct weight tranfer from edge to edge. I placed 2nd in a Colorado Nationals race with these! Oh and I'm female, wear a boot size 25.5, am 5' 9", 130 lbs. I use these with my 160 Atomic Race 12 SL boards. I don't think I'll tell you how old I am, but I'm not a teenager by a long shot. I do have a great bootfitter in town who respects my equipment choices! For all the fast women out there these are great!
