Description of Salomon Tech Amphibian Sandal - Women's: |
The Salomon Women's Techamphibian blurs the line between sandal and shoe. It protects your feet like a shoe, but drains water like a sandal. The synthetic mesh upper and Quickfit lacing won't absorb water, so you don't have to carry around extra weight while your shoes dry. An adjustable, convertible heel folds out of the way when you need a slip-on for a quick jaunt out of your tent in the middle of the night. Built for professional river guides, canyoneers, and adventure racers who make frequent transitions between wet and dry environments, the sticky Contagrip sole gives you traction over variable terrain.
Bottom Line: Shandals? Sandoes? Whatever you call them, you'll love them.

| All-around great shoe! 07-02-08 |

| These seemed to have a little more room in the toe box than I am used to, but I tightened up the laces a little more and it worked out fine. They dry fast but do let tiny pebbles in (but it's mesh..what do you expect?!). They're sturdy enough to go hiking all day and did really grip the slippery rocks. I haven't worn them as a clog yet, but they are super easy to get on and off. I had them too tight one time and suffered some minor chafing, but once they were readjusted, everything was good. |

| Looks good but retains smell 04-04-08 |

| I have only used these shoes in one canoeing trip and they have retained a bad smell from the water I was paddling in. They are advertised to be anti-fungal and anti-bacterial so I didn't expect it to be so bad. I tried washing them in detergent and drying them in the sun but the scent still lingers.
Before this incident however, I was very happy with their appearance and ease to put on. They're a little rough on the inside, so I didn't like wearing them without socks for long periods of time. |

| I bought mine 2002 and did lots of hiking. Later came back to Asia and used them to run because so light weight and the sole durable. I run in them almost everyday for an hour and they are still in perfect condition, and I mean the sole, the lace all that. Wow. |
