Description of Rossignol Zenith Pro Composite Boot:
Rossignol made the Zenith Pro Composite Ski Boot with contoured, molded padding for a true anatomical shape to eliminate the pressure points that make you want to cry “Uncle!” halfway through the ski day. A 98mm forefoot holds your foot securely for optimal power transfer (which works for everyone but our wider-footed ski friends). The Zenith Pro’s bi-injected liner incorporates harder, more responsive plastic near the foot for high performance, with softer plastic on the outside to maintain a smooth flex. Rossignol incorporated intelligent design details like an easy, active-hinge entry system that doesn’t compromise the boot’s overlapping four-buckle structure. Get a pro fit and performance flex with a boot that contours your foot comfortably.
Obviously the cardinal sin of buying ski boots is buying them online. You should get fitted at a competent shop so they can make you a custom footbed and mold the liner. Otherwise you are entering a world of pain, smokey. That being said, this is a great boot for people with low-volume (narrow, skinny) feet like myself. I wear 10.5 shoes but am 8.5 in this boot. It is rated at something like 100 flex but is actually pretty soft compared to other high-end boots. I only weigh 140 and I can bend it no problem. The one complaint I have is that the shell can scratch the top and bottom of my foot getting in and out. It's a narrow boot so entry/exit is a bit of an ordeal.
