The Rossignol Scratch FS is a lightweight aerialist obsessed with taking you to the next level of freestyle progression. With a super lightweight THC core (Triple Hybrid Core), the Scratch FS makes spinning as easy as thinking about it once you're in the air. Two mounting points for the bindings give you the choice to set up the FS as a progressive switch jibster or as a more traditional all-mountain ripper that can still dominate the terrain park. Need we say the Scratch FS is a twintip ski that can plow through slushy park landings fakie as well as it can regular? Nah, didn't think so.
Bottom Line: A park-specific ripper entirely capable of carrying you through every condition on the mountain beyond the boundaries of jib.
I demoed the FS's last year, and I really enjoyed them, so I bought a pair. I used the more modern mounting point, which is closer to center. The skis have great pop, forgiveness, flex, but after a month of two of riding, the ski starts to get weak. I've used them for about three months, and they are like a fishing pole. Also, the top sheet is so vulnerable to any scratches because of the soft material that is used. Another thing is that they don't carve all that well on hard surfaces. A newly groomed run is very fun and much easier, but on ice or packed snow, it's not good. But if you don't mind the scratches, the whole flex deal, and the carving, and you just merely want to jump, I honestly suggest these skis, whether you are a beginner or expert.
