Yes, this watch is pretty big, but I'm a gal with larger-than-average wrists, so it's not overbearing for me. Plus, it really does look great- the detail in the hands and different dials is impressive. The one thing I have issue with is the high/low tide dial. Apparently, the watch was made with the assumption that high and low tides fluctuate on consistent 12 hour cycles. This isn't the case in real life, so it doesn't take long for the high/low dial to be off. However, the moon and spring/neap cycles are pretty darn close and add a cool touch.

This watch is great for my professional life as well as my down time. I work and play on the coast in the marshes and beach and never knew how much I would use the Tidemaster display, esp. tide height and moon phase. The size is large, but something I wanted, and the blue dial is subtle-not too flashy. The craftsmanship is excellent and the accuracy has been right on so far. Very pleased with this purchase, and the Backcountry price was excellent.

This watch would've been great if it were about 1/3 smaller. It is more of a men's watch size-- too heavy to be comfortable to wear while swimming and too big and clunky to be able to wear with professional clothes. Its large size limits its versatility to only those situations in which you don't mind having a big sports watch.
