As you take off your Reef Men's Fanning Blue Sandals and use the built-in bottle opener in the bottom to crack open a cold one, you can feel good about doing a little to help the environment. Why? Because Reef donates two dollars per pair of Fanning Blue flip-flops toward project Blue. Project Blue is a surfrider foundation dedicated to protecting beaches and the ocean nationwide. Reef included cushiony heel airbags, soft EVA footbeds, and anatomical arch supports in the Fanning Blue flip-flops for full feet comfort.
Bottom Line: It's now easy to support the protection of coastlines and oceans nationwide.
Seriously one of the best inventions in the last 5 years. How often are you looking for a bottle opener? I always have cold beverages and never have a tool to open the bottles. These are KEY when in Mexico....or some deserted place.
Why has only one other person wrote about these sandals???? This shoe is so comfortable, I have two pairs. I have bought these for about 70 bucks from a surf shop I need not mention. Got the other pair from the goat, plus they are on sale 35% off how can you pass that up. The main factor-Mick Fanning put a bottle opener on the bottom. The Best..by far

CHINESE FOOT BINDING DOESN'T HOLD A CANDLE TO REEF FANNING'S 10-18-09
When a buddy of mine, who's been wearing Reef Fanning Blue Sandals for eons now, told me that he absolutely lived on them and totally loved them, I decided to buy a pair for myself.
When I placed my online order, I had no problems whatsoever and these sandals were delivered to me within a week, which pleasantly surprised me, as I was expecting their delivery in two to four weeks.
Then began the agony, as the pair that I got in my size (apparently they don't make 1/2 sizes) were so narrow and so damn tight on both feet that I just couldn't wear them in the house for long. They also had the other problem of chafing between my big toes and the next one on both feet.
I gave these sandals several more chances at redemption, but to no avail, as their fit on both feet remained the same, uncomfortably tight and just a tad painful at times.
I'm now in the process of returning these totally unused, but still functional for someone else, sandals to the Backcountry distribution center and have them issue a credit to my MasterCard.
It's unfortunate that one can't try these sandals on before buying them, as there's no substitute for an informed decision and, had that happened, I would have been better equipped to decide whether I wanted to buy them or not!
Good luck to the rest of you contemplating a decision to buy a pair of these sandals and thanks. Bob
