Want a lightweight board that's easy to turn but has enough torsional stability to take your skills to the next level? Take the Ride Women's Solace Snowboard for a spin. With a radial sidecut and directional shape, this entry-level deck begs you to turn it. While the Solace is super light, it's no wimp. Ride gave it biaxial and carbon laminates to handle speed and land jumps. The carbon laminates also lend the board amazing pop, allowing you to perfect ollies and spring out of turns. ABS sidewalls and an easy-to-repair extruded base make the Solace Snowboard last through multiple seasons, so you won't have to buy a board every year. * Base colors vary. We can't control what color you'll get, but we're sure you'll be stoked.
Bottom Line: Improve your skills at lightning speed while riding the Ride Women's Solace Snowboard.
This was a board that was recommended to me as a beginner. It was a great board to learn on, and I quickly progressed. I had only been boarding twice before getting the Solace, and by the end of my 4th day (2nd day total on this board) I was comfortable going down blues and linking turns. While I've definitely taken a few hard spills on this board - a board isn't going to make you a better rider instantly, but it certainly helps with progression - overall I feel like I have a lot of control in turning, stopping and maintaining my speed over flat spots. What's nice about this board is that it's more of an advanced beginner-intermediate board, so while it was easy to learn on, I know I can use it for a few more years. Awesome graphics is a plus! PS - Backcountry.com is great, so glad I bought it from them!!
I rode the solace all last year in Colorado's powder and loved it! As a newby to powder, and kinda newby to snowboarding in general this board seemed like the perfect combo of flex while still offering control. Although I don't have much to compare it to, I am very happy with this board as an entry board that won't break the bank while still able to keep up as I improve. I logged in almost every other weekend for 3 months of snow and board held up great... even though I gave it a beating.!
I am writing this on behalf of my lady, who has ridden this board for a couple years now. This board had helped her progress from greens/blues to blue/blacks and the occasional double. it's her first choice for powder and she digs how well it floats. It smooths out the choppiness of late powderday runs, and she feels it is pretty stable at higher speeds, even though it is lighter than her daily driver board.
