The Ride Men's Deuce Snowboard Boot eats up freestyle terrain from in-bounds gaps to backyard rail jams. The Body Active liner and Rubber Lite sole give you control and comfort in a lightweight package. When you're ready to drop in, pull on the Lock Down Speed lace and the Secure Fit Harness, cored ankle pockets, and internal J bars lock down your foot to eliminate heel lift. The 3D-formed EVA insole and fully-exposed EVA midsole cushion your feet when dropping monster landings.
Bottom Line: The Ride team's choice for freestyle performance.
I started this past season on this boot. It was uncomfortable, had pinch points, didn't hold my heel well, the inner laces are NOT in the liner but a cuff in the boot, crappy inner liner lace retainer, material wears super fast, not very think, crappy velcro retainer on to of liners. Overall they sucked. I bought a cheap pair of Northwave's and they were 100x's better. I rode these boots again today to try the Contraband bindings and remembered why I quit wearing them. Anyone want a great deal on a barely used pair of 11 mens DFC Deuce Boa Coilers? :)
100+ days in these boots - in Pow, Park, Tight trees, loose glades, hiking and teary-eyed groomers. They've handled it all with style, stability and comfort.
The outer shell is super durable and I've replaced the laces only once. The inner boot could use a burlier tightening system, one that keeps the clamp on ankle and instep...or maybe I could have worked some magic on the lacing itself too.... but the only drawback I've found is that I have to re-tighten my laces throughout the day.
other than that, they have taken quite a beating and still keep on ticking. The anti-microbial liners work like a charm. Just keep the liners dry after riding and you'll be stoked!
I guess it's a matter of opinion. This is an incredibly snug, comfortable boot. The heel cup has extra support in the boot which keeps your heel from sliding up. It also has a material ("cat tongue") that runs up the achilles tendon and calf portion of the liner that keeps both your heel and your sock firmly in place no matter how hard you push it. I disagree with the above poster- I measure exactly 11 US mens shoe size and the 11s are a perfect fit. The toe just brushes the front of the boot while my heel is snugly held in place. Who cares what the inside of the liner looks like?
