If you're a progressing rider who makes the entire mountain your playground, the Ride Control Snowboard is your ticket to all-mountain dominance. Ride laminated the Control's full-length wood core with linear strands of carbon fiber to give the board more snap, so you'll power out of turns and ollie like never before. A directional shape and deep radial sidecut lend this freeride board Nascar-like handling when winding your way through the trees. Should you accidentally bonk one, don't worry, the Control's ABS sidewalls and full-wrap steel edges will take the hit. Ride gave the Control Snowboard an extruded 1500 base for easy maintenance, good wax absorption, and fast performance. *We can't control what base color you'll get. But they're all rad, anyway.
Bottom Line: Enjoy everything your local hill has to offer with the Ride Control Snowboard.
I've been using a Control 158 for about 4 years now. It a solid ride and very sturdy. I am 5'9 and 175lbs and I have found this board to be very fast with wonderful edge control. With little maintenance I have kept it in top shape without having to bring it to a shop. Nothing wrong with the top sheet and the base is still going strong. Its dropped in all types of backcountry in Canada, Nevada, and Alaska!! (shreds the groomers here in Virginina =(
NOT A PARK BOARD!!! I have taken many spills on it attempting rails and jumps. The older model I use has limited pop, super stiff, and pretty hefty. Keep it on the groomers, or better, get into some untracked POW and float away!
I've been riding for awhile now and you'll normally see me on a Society or Concept UL but I couldn't believe how great this board rides for the price it is sold.
This board can accommodate up to a 10.5 boot size (If you have a size 11+ check out the Fleetwood which is the wide version of this board).
This board is great for someone that is just getting into riding all the way up to the seasoned all-mountain veteran that is looking for a great ride at an affordable cost.
this is a great all mountain board i have hit a lot of rocks and done other damaging things to this board but it has always held up and the base looks almost new after an entire year of boarding on it. pros it is a strong tough board and is great to learn on or for a advanced rider, it can handle hard landings off jumps easily. cons if you are looking for a park board than this is not your board it is stiff and heavy
all in all this is a great board
