I got this for my wife for both trail and street riding at night. She is always nervous about hitting something she can't see at night and it takes away her enjoyment or riding. The light is super bright. It makes me laugh all the time, how bright it is. You can see the trail ahead of you almost like daylight. Honestly I would compare it to a car headlight. The battery pack adds some weight to your ride, but it's totally worth it if you want to see extremely well at night.

The light is big and heavy -- too heavy for helmet mount. The battery is about half the size of a brick and weighs about as much. Battery life is about half that advertised. My battery quit holding a charge after less than a year.

Was this light designed to mount on a scooter or something motorized? I can't imagine carrying this thing on a bike. The thing weights like a brick, literally. The battery pack for a Ryobi drill is lighter. Maybe if you're using this for a road bike or a commuter that's fine but the battery pack will not fit most suspension frames. It's that massive.
