I used to have a friend who inadvertently flared her nostrils when she didn't like something. After climbing all day in soft, flexible pants, wearing normal, stiff pants might make your nostrils flare too. Thank goodness for prAna's Eva Canvas Pants. Soft, organic cotton with a mix of stretchy spandex feels comfortable throughout dinner, dessert, and a late movie.
Bottom Line: Transition from comfy climbing pants to comfy casuals.
These pants really do perform (love the stretch when climbing) & look great on my motorcycle or out on the town. I have a very boy-ish shape, and they are fairly low rise pants (2-3 inches below belly button), so I need a belt to keep them up when I am climbing. I also had to stitch down the pocket flaps b/c they flip up after putting them in the wash/dry. I typically wear XS in prana & so I bought the size 00 (a little tight when I first tried on) & 02 (a little loose). I kept the 00 and was happy. They didn't shrink when I put them in the dryer. And, they stretch out after the first 2 hours of wearing & are perfect the 2nd & 3rd times I wear them (they keep good shape, but just stretch out a bit).
These are really sweet pants, good style, like a carpenter jean and dress pant combined. They've got quite a bit of stretch to them, and the waist band is low, so be careful to keep your butt covered... otherwise, terrific.
I love Prana pants, but there's something strange with the numeric sizes vs. the S, M,L sizing. I found that the numeric sizing runs small in the legs. The waist is true to size, but the legs are cut smaller then usual, then again I like to wear my pants a little 'baggy'. The Canvas pants are very well made and cute as hell. I'll just have to get used to the narrow legs.
