Description of Powderhorn John Wayne Jacket - Men's:
If you're like me, you're about ten years or so too young to appreciate the Duke, you aren't, however, too young to dig the insulated Powderhorn Men's John Wayne Jacket for its sweet western style and bombproof construction. The John Wayne Jacket comes out with guns blazing…, actually it doesn't—it does however fend off all but the worst of Mother Nature's nastiness while you lap the fresh deeps. Primaloft insulation fights off the lift ride shivers, while the zip-off hood and removable powderskirt make the transition to nightlife faster than me falling asleep to an old western flick. Underarm Underarm zips offer relief when you work up a sweat, and the internal security pocket keeps tabs on your cash, cards, and phone while you're laying down the law out on the ski hill.
Bottom Line: Isn't it odd how the terms duke and dude have pretty much traded roles in the past forty years?
The jacket is warm, repels water like it should, and looks pretty nice. Big problem is the fit. I'm 6'2" 210. The XL is about an inch or so too short in the arms and the powder skirt is way too big and doesn't adjust. The end result is snow up the sleeves and back. It seems the folks at Powderhorn designed the coat for a Weeble-wobble. Overall I'm content, but for 300 bones (on sale) I could be a lot happier...
