Hiking, climbing, and even hanging in town takes it tool, so Patagonia made the Men’s Duck Pants from burly organic cotton canvas to take the abuse. You don't have to take the Duck Pants into the hills—their classic khaki style fits right in for a day at work or weekend with friends. But Patagonia made them plenty tough for a long bushwacking approach or a few pitches of offwidth climbing.
Bottom Line: The Patagonia Duck Pants take on a weekday at work or weekend of climbing with ease.
I do really like these pants, they don't fit me quite as loose as my jeans but they are as loose as I would want them for actually doing stuff in. My only gripe thus far is in their stain resistance. Apparently they don't take well to collateral damage from Bondo body filler... I am afraid I got them a little to close to the action one day and now they have a pink spot on them. Kneeling on the ground has been great, all dirt brushes off and they appear quite durable. Totally happy with these pants, only trying to mess them up due to ignorance on my behalf.... THANKS!!
Nothing special about these. As far as serving their purpose of performing as a basic khaki, they succeed. Simple and a pretty lightweight material. Fit is decent, but I don't think they withstand the abuse of climbing very well. If you are just looking for a basic khaki, why not? If you are looking for anything more substantial, look elsewhere.
