Description of Patagonia Windproof Gloves: |
Pack the Patagonia Windproof Gloves for everything from summer backpacking trips in the Tetons to bumming around town in between ski days. These lightweight gloves feature Polartec Windbloc fabric for a windproof yet breathable barrier from the biting chill. Patagonia lined these gloves with R1 grid fleece to help breathe moisture and retain warmth, and put tough synthetic leather on the palms so you can easily grip your beer in the parking lot of the ski hill.
Bottom Line: A versatile pair of gloves for alpine or après conditions.

| Great Gloves! 03-17-09 |
Weston (2): |
| Took these out this March to the Palisades (Sierra-Nevada Palisades) and got what I expected out of a windproof glove: exactly that.
They are sized a little big but fit my hands perfect, as I have big palms and stubby fingers. Repels snow fairly well, so long as you keep moving (NOT WATERPROOF, nor do they claim to be). Overall a good glove, comfortable, and excellent wind protection.
The dexterity of these gloves is also remarkable. I love mine. |

| Sub-Par for the Patagonia Name! 02-24-09 |
Spurgeon3 (20): |
| Could not wait to get my hands into these gloves because of the high expectation I had for them (being that they had the name Patagonia stitched in them). I was stunned...struck dumbfounded ......annoyed beyond repair when I took them out of the box. My first thoughts: 1) My wife played a joke on me and sent me her dish washing gloves (the gloves squeak just like rubber gloves) with extreme light weight fleece lining attached to them. Easy for her because she can be a master on the sowing machine. 2) The stitching inside the glove was pathetic. There was hard fabric in the inside that actually pricked the skin, which robbed the gloves of any comfort. Yes, taken for granted it did not draw blood and 911 was not needed.....but never the less.....comfort is priority when you spend over 45.00 for a pair of gloves that you will be wearing daily for 7 months out of the year.
The part that annoyed me the most was the fact that the lining was so thin that you could not enjoy it. I actually had to turn the gloves inside out to check for the R1 fleece lining. I was shocked to see it but not feel it.
Normally I give things time before making a decision, but not these gloves......for that kind of money and no comfort......they don't deserve the time.
