Paddle your canoe to an island, and then jump in the water to cool off while wearing the Patagonia Men's Baggies Shorts. This classic short has been around since Patagonia's beginning as the company's comfortable, do-anything shorts. With a built-in mesh liner and quick-dry nylon, you won't stay wet for long when you climb out of the water. Patagonia designed the Baggies Shorts with vertical pockets for reduced drag in the water; plus, the pockets have mesh corners for fast draining. These relaxed-fit shorts will also keep you comfy during a hike or the occasional trail run too.
Bottom Line: The Patagonia Baggies Shorts are up for any adventure; even so, don't feel guilty if all you wear them for is relaxing.
Okay, the title doesn't grab, but at age 62 it was wonderful to find a pair of shorts that didn't distress parts of my anatomy. They are roomy, have pockets (wallet pocket with a snap) and obviate the need for underwear (mesh brief that's easy to wash and dry). Great for travel, dive boat or just existing in the summer. The only warning is don't try to take and extended hike in these since the mesh brief can chafe.
I'm a huge fan of anything that is just as at home in the water as it is on land. These fit that description perfectly. As far as casual swimwear goes, you can't beat these. Don't try them for anything like laps though, as the pockets catch water like none other. And since they're mostly solid pockets, they don't drain as easily as other brands' shorts. However, these are pretty heavy nylon construction, which makes them much much more durable, which is awesome. They look great just about anywhere, which makes them pretty much the ultimate summer wear.
