Pull on the Patagonia Women's Down Jacket to stay warm during your next three-hour ice belay, basecamp rest day, or a long-awaited break on a backcountry ski tour. At only 19oz, the Patagonia Down Jacket keeps weight-conscious climbers and skiers happy. Its DWR-coated ripstop nylon shell keeps the 700-fill down insulation dry when an unexpected snowstorm hits. The Down Jacket's contoured cut and quilted side panels minimize bulk and increase mobility for times when it's actually cold enough to climb with it on.
Bottom Line: Keeps the chill away on your next winter adventure.
this jacket is cozy warm and i am happy to own it, but i have two complaints:
1) the gray color of the fleece collar gets dirty easily
2) the jacket looses more feathers than any other down thing i have ever seen! the fabric is thicker so i thought this wouldn't be an issue, but indeed i am molting daily!
I love this jacket and it's size for around town, but it's much better suited for dry cold climates. I used it in Ecuador for some mountaineering and it was great but then i went up to the Dacks to go ice climbing and I needed another down jacket and about 6 more layers to be warm. This jacket did not do well with <10 degree wet cold weather.
Super cozy. I bought this for a backcountry touring trip, and now I can't take it off. The fit is very slim and flattering, so if you plan on wearing bulky layers underneath, size up. I prefer to wear it with only a very light layer underneath, and have found it to be excellent, warm, and very cozy.
