The snoozing backpackers won't hear you as you easily get a change of clothes from the foam-stiffened interior. Later that day, leave the Waypoint locked to your bedpost, zip your passport and your journal into the daypack's waterproof zipper and take in the sites of the city. The Waypoint's sturdy and supportive design mean that you'll be comfortable carrying it through any foreign jungle—urban or otherwise. This pack promises to be great, but doesn't live up to high expectations. It isn't as well made as other Osprey packs and the detachable daypack is just too small to be very useful. Returned and picked up the Osprey Meridian 28. The wheels of the Meridian add a little weight, but add some more travel transport ease.
The Waypoint looks cool, it's sleek, it's beautifully designed BUT: It lacks volume and strength. Mine fell apart on the way to the destination. First, the interior strap down buckle broke. Next, the buckle that holds the suspension on broke--this is a serious failure which seriously compromised my neck and back! 3rd, the TSA guy ripped off the nylon band that connects to the zipper (he was kind enough to throw it in the bag). The first breakage is fixable, the other 2 are most definitely not. I recommend the Gregory Whitney instead. It doesn't have the same beauty of design (i.e. the suspension can't stow) but it's way tougher and holds way more.
