Great for backpacking. These plates weigh nothing, take up no room and are very easy to clean. I gave it four stars for two reasons. Hot drinks tend to make the plastic warp a little while holding them. Also, putting the set together can be very difficult when it's cold out; try manipulating the tiny tabs when you can't feel your fingers!
I love this stuff! It's prefect for a long backpack. Everything unfolds to fit flat in your pack. It's really easy to fold together and it basically doesn't weight anything. So worth it for the space you'll save.
