The Outdoor Research Women's Motiva jacket employs Gore-Tex's WindStopper softshell fabric to help you maintain an optimal temperature whether you're hiking in fall's Technicolor backdrop, skiing bluebird powder, or sending your test project in less-than-optimal weather. The Motiva's fleece-backed softshell material offers a stretchy, dynamic fit so you can move freely, while simultaneously shunning biting winds and body heat stealing chills. The removable hood offers shelter from the storm, and takes a break on clement days. Double-sliding pitzips take the hassell out of venting, and the women's-specific fit and articulated arms take the ill-fitting unisex frumpiness out of the equation.

Gobbled up this jacket for my girlfriend for a great price. She is thrilled with it. It performs as you expect a serious softshell to. The detachable hood is a great feature that is rare for a jacket like this from my searching. Makes it more versatile for different conditions. It also has a nice cut that fits a woman's body :)

tried the jacket in tough weather this wkend. kept me warm despite the cold winds! hat fit well over the beanie i was wearing; the hood's wrap around tucked easily under my chin. ran in it, too-- moved well w/ me and *loved* the pockets!

Received in the mail yesterday! Love the hood...easily comes off and on. jacket probably does fit petite to average frames best. (5'4 123lbs.) ordered a M fits with thin long sleeve baselayer and northface TKA 100 1/4 zip up. Go up one size compared to most jackets. More sizing help, bust 36 (measure around the fullest part of the bust and around the back) waist 29 (measure round the body at the natural waistline level with the belly button)and waist 37(measure round the body at the fullest part of the hips approximately 8 inches below the waistline)
