The Oakley Men’s Freight Jacket pulls its own weight all alone or as an extra insulation layer under your shell. Oakley gave this puffy a soft knit collar and knitted cuffs that won’t interfere with your shell and feel nice against your skin. Two front handwarmer pockets and two concealed chest pockets stash your stuff, and inner hem adjustments let you seal out snow, wind, and cold.
Bottom Line: Pack some serious warmth with the Oakley Freight Jacket in your bag.
Excellent jacket. Fairly lightweight, well constructed and fairly warm. Fits very nice and true to size. The only complaint, like others have mentioned, is the scrunchy thingy at the back of the neck. But its not a big enough issue to not dig on the jacket.
This jacket is very nice and durable. I only have two complaints. The collar is like a scrunchie sort of thing like a high school letterman jacket. It kind of pulls on your neck and feels wierd. It is also not the warmest jacket i've had. The mountain hardwear down is much warmer but for the price you can't beat the oakley one. your choice
all in all, this feels like a bomber piece of gear. the outer shell material is a bit heavier, but is definitely a lot stronger than your typical super soft shell down jacket. its also very breathable and has mesh lined pit vents, which are a good addition. Another great feature is that it is compatible with other oakley shells, so it can be used as a liner on those super cool days. Guess i need to go pick up a steezy oakley shell now.
