Nothing’s better than a puffy, and the Oakley Men’s Puffer Jacket is no exception. This goose down insulated snowboard jacket is waterproof and highly breathable which is rare and beautiful. What could be better than goose down insulation? Not much, but Oakley made the Puffer Jacket with a 15K-waterproof rating and a 20K-breathable rating—that’s one big booyakasha for you.
Bottom Line: The others can huff and puff, but Oakley blows it up.
Good light feel. Would be worthless as a ski/snowboard jacket. Black is a trash bag. Grey looks better. Will be a good cold dry around town jacket but it's technical abilities are limited. I'm 6'5" 200 lbs and the XXL fit in the arms. Of course I am swimming in it as it is not a slim fit.
The other two reviewers are on point. I can't even imagine what Oakley was thinking when they made this jacket. It does indeed look like a garbage bag and there is no way I would ever go snowboarding in it as a primary outerwear piece. It lacks a powder skirt, hood, and the material seems very flimsy. However, it is very comfortable, compressible, and warm. It would work great as a about-town jacket or as a layering piece. I'd give it three stars if not for the fact that mine already has some fraying just wearing it the past couple days. Most likely going to be returned, but if I replace it and it holds up, could be an intriguing option (just not as snowboarding outerwear).
I agree with the review below. My roomates laughed when I took it out of the packaging. One said it looked like saran wrap and would tear if i caught it on anything. The next said it looked like a trash bag when he walked in the door. Powder skirt is a loose cotton sweaterish material that would suck up snow rather than repel it. Im 5'11 and 165 and the medium was a great fit. very warm but not what you want for the slopes. Decent jacket for intown. Looks shiny in person.
